Online Security

July 31st, 2009

Too often I hear website owners discussing the security of their CMS and associated themes and plugins. The suggestions are often “do you know and trust the author of the code?”. This same analogy can be extended to online banking where people say “Do you trust that site with your info?” » More: Online Security

Connie Sonne Paranormal Challenge

July 13th, 2009

Connie Sonne was at TAM-7 yesterday to take a preliminary test for the $1,000,000 challenge put forth by the James Randi Educational Foundation. Connie had a 1 in 1,000 chance of passing the test, by sheer luck. I watched the test live as it was streamed. “Psychics” Talking to MJ

July 10th, 2009

So it appears that “psychics” are already “talking” to MJ. Ummm… yeah… whatever. But why do we put such standards on journalism? Sure, we want to receive accurate news, but why do we insist upon unbiased news so long as the information we are getting is factually correct? » More: We should embrace “biased” media

And then Palin

July 7th, 2009

This whole Sarah Palin resignation debacle is just silly. Her decision to resign mid-term just doesn’t make sense regardless of what you think of her. But what I find even more puzzling are some of the comments by her lawyer, Thomas Van Flein. » More: And then Palin
